Nearly 2,200 homes planned for Northshore Hamilton redevelopment

The Queensland Government has announced plans for a major mixed-use redevelopment at Northshore Hamilton, with five Queensland developers expected to deliver nearly 2,200 homes across 6.1 hectares of former industrial land. The proposed developments include retail, dining, commercial and community space, together with a hotel and a major shopping and commercial hub.

Economic Development Queensland is investing $154 million in enabling infrastructure, including roads, sewer and water works, to prepare the sites for development. Construction on the first homes is expected to commence in 2028, once catalyst infrastructure works are completed, with first residents expected from 2031, subject to planning approvals and other factors.
