IBM Maximo Technical Lead | Maximo 7.6 / MAS 9

We are seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Technical Lead to support the delivery of several major enterprise technology programs within a large asset-intensive organisation.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will lead Maximo development activities while remaining actively involved in code reviews, defect resolution and technical delivery.
The role
You will join a collaborative Maximo team of approximately four to five people, expected to scale to around ten during the upgrade program.
Working closely with developers, internal business owners, architects and project managers, you will help ensure Maximo changes are delivered effectively and to a high technical standard.
Working arrangements
This is an initial six-month contract paying $850 -$900 per day plus super.
The role offers hybrid working, with approximately three days onsite across Sydney Olympic Park and Parramatta and two days working from home.
Unrestricted Australian working rights are required.

Key responsibilities
• Lead hands-on Maximo development and technical delivery
• Conduct code reviews and oversee development quality
• Investigate and resolve technical defects
• Guide developers throughout the software development lifecycle
• Support the upgrade from Maximo Manage 7.6 to MAS 9
• Contribute to the transition to an OpenShift containerised environment
• Deliver Maximo changes supporting field-mobility and spatial-capability programs
• Work collaboratively with architects, project managers and business stakeholders
• Communicate progress, risks and technical requirements clearly
• Help coordinate delivery as the development team scales during the upgrade
About you
• Ideally 10+ years of IBM Maximo experience; candidates with at least eight years will be considered
• Deep hands-on Maximo development experience
• Strong experience with Maximo Manage 7.6
• Demonstrated experience leading Maximo developers
• Strong capability across code reviews, defect resolution and technical delivery
• Experience working throughout the software development lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide clear examples of successful Maximo delivery
Highly desirable
• Maximo Application Suite 9 experience
• Maximo upgrade or migration experience
• OpenShift or containerisation experience
• Experience supporting field-mobility or spatial-capability integrations
• Previous experience working for IBM or within a complex asset-intensive organisation
