Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager – Safety, Security & Facilities the Head of Security and Precinct Services will be responsible for the leadership, planning, implementation, monitoring, and review of precinct services, including transport, parking, security and emergency planning on precinct lands managed and operated by Venues NSW.

This role will require extensive stakeholder and contract management working closely with your team and liaising with internal departments, external stakeholders, on-site contractors, tenants, and external agencies on a regular basis.

The role must ensure that all site security/event security and transport planning and delivery is undertaken in a planned and effective manner. Working closely with staff and liaising with internal departments, onsite contractors, tenants, and external agencies on a timely basis. The Head of Security & Precinct Services will be responsible for developing and effectively managing all internal associated policies and personnel.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate previous extensive experience in stakeholder and contract management. You will have previous experience managing a large team with knowledge and experience in major event security. You will have demonstrated experience resolving challenging situations, planning of parking and large precinct traffic management along with your passion to ensure the safety of patrons, Members and staff.

To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that the applicants have

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive industry experience and professional skills related to security, facilities and precinct management.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ operational event security experience including proven ability to provide strong people leadership, stakeholder management, operational security planning, supervision, training and education of team members.
• Previous experience developing strategies for large precincts while managing multiple stakeholders.
• Current NSW Security Licence – 1ACE and 2A.
• Flexibility in work hours including weekends, public holidays and out of hour work
