About Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Innovation Team within a fast-paced FMCG seafood environment. This role is responsible for leading complex, cross‑functional projects that support the development and delivery of the business blueprint and pipeline, while also enabling broader innovation and business transformation priorities.

As a senior leader, you will act as both a driver of delivery and a trusted influencer, guiding stakeholders through ambiguity, alignment challenges, and change. You will bring strong end-to-end project management discipline, combined with the presence and communication skills required to lead across functions and external partners.

Leadership, Influence & 2IC Support
• Act as a senior project leader and trusted partner to the Innovation Manager, providing strong delivery support and leadership coverage when required
• Directly manage and develop one team member, providing clear direction, coaching, regular feedback, and support for capability growth
• Influence outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement, structured communication, and disciplined cross functional follow through, while respecting functional expertise and diverse perspectives
• Lead with empathy and sound judgement, proactively identifying and resolving delivery blockers through collaboration, constructive challenge, and decisive action when required
• Track key decisions, actions, and outcomes to ensure accountability and timely follow through across the Innovation portfolio
• Demonstrate strong communication skills across all levels to build credible, trusted relationships and effectively influence stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Lead multiple concurrent FMCG projects from concept through to launch and implementation across NPD
• Maintain a strong end-to-end view while managing detail, interdependencies and delivery risk
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risk and issue registers to ensure disciplined execution
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, in full and to agreed quality, regulatory and commercial requirements through effective governance and reporting
• Proactively identify and resolve risks, dependencies and constraints to maintain momentum across complex project environments
• Support the deployment of digitised PLM systems and partner with cross functional teams and external suppliers to deliver practical, scalable outcomes
• Interstate travel as required

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications
• 4+ years’ experience in senior project delivery roles with end-to-end accountability
• Proven experience in FMCG, food, seafood or regulated manufacturing environments (experience with short shelf-life products or protein highly regarded)
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including direct management of at least one team member
• Strong leadership and influencing capability, with the presence to lead complex, cross functional teams
• Strong working knowledge of stage and gate processes and formal project management methodologies, supported by highly developed communication and decision-making skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, including willingness to travel domestically as required
